Each week the Wilton Town Clerk’s office releases data for the prior week’s real estate transactions. From Friday, Oct. 9 through Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, Town Clerk Lori Kaback reported four properties that changed hands.

Important: Please note that the Town Clerk’s report contains limited information. For details, read the document on file in the Wilton Town Clerk’s office. These land transfer reports are available on the town website and are publicly available information.

GMW makes an effort to find current photos from recent real estate listings, websites such as Zillow.com, or mapping services such as Google Maps. In some cases, photos may be from previous real estate listings or town appraisal/land records.

Key Highlight: This week’s real estate sales offered somewhat of a window into the diverse heritage of colonial era Wilton and the storied past of the town’s architecturally rich community, with two homes on Ridgefield and Westport Rds. taking the lead.

The Hubbard Family’s summer home at 1090 Ridgefield Rd. sat on approximately 40 acres and was originally constructed by the agriculturally prosperous John Scott. Originally a lawyer by training, G. Evans Hubbard and his wife, Dorthea Denys, and their two sons summered there until they made it their permanent residence in 1934. Hubbard was somewhat of a civic fixture in the Wilton Community, helped to define Town Center and was largely responsible for the Barringer and Hubbard buildings as well as the Wilton Arms. Inhabited first by Samuel and Elizabeth Fitch and later by Zachariah Fitch and his wife, Mary, 132 Westport Rd. originally included not just a house but a meadow, an orchard and a barn. From the Howers to the Brothertons to the Goepplers to the Newtons and Hendersons, this well-proportioned, two-story home with a story changed owners many times over the course of decades and is considered one of the most pristine homes of its era.
