Each year the Wilton Education Association (the Wilton teachers’ union) awards scholarships to children of WEA members who are pursuing their undergraduate degrees.
This year Clark Ellis will receive the WEA’s Robert E. Gallagher Memorial Scholarship. He will be graduating from New Milford High School this June and is the son of Terry Ellis, a language arts teacher at Middlebrook School, and Lori Ellis, a library media specialist at Middlebrook School. He will be attending University of New Haven this fall.
Yesterday, Andrew Nicsaje, a Middlebrook math teacher and president of the WEA, presented two other students with WEA scholarships. They are:
- Aidan Sheahan, the son of Kate Sheahan, a music teacher at Cider Mill School. He will be graduating from Joel Barlow High School this June and will be attending either the Rochester Institute of Technology this fall.
- Ayhan Eyikan, the son of Jennifer Eyikan, an art teacher at Miller-Driscoll School. He will graduate from Fairfield Ludlowe High School in Fairfield, CT, this June, and will be attending the University of Maryland.
