Haley Howard, a senior at Wilton High School, received her Ski Patrol cross on February 15 after almost two seasons of training and preparation as a Ski Patrol candidate at Windham Mountain (NY).

Ski Patrol provides emergency medical and rescue services to skiers and snowboarders as well as to other people on the mountain.

In Spring 2015, Howard became certified in OEC (Outdoor Emergency Care). During the winter, Haley volunteers Saturdays and Sundays each weekend for Ski Patrol, with a typical day starting at 6:45 a.m. on the mountain and ending at 5:30 p.m.. Haley is the youngest ski patroller at Windham and would like to pursue a career in a health-related field.
