This weekend, 23 Wilton YMCA gymnasts will travel to the Philadelphia area to compete as part of the 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championship, from June 20-24 in Oaks, PA. This year’s meet is hosted by the Willow Grove YMCA, a branch of the Greater Philadelphia YMCA Association. The Y’s gymnastics team is the largest to date to represent Wilton at that forum.

This National competition is the last of four YMCA championship meets in 2024, preceded by the Connecticut Southern League and State Championships (both hosted by the Riverbrook Regional YMCA’s Wilton branch and, most recently, the New England Regional Gymnastics Championship, hosted by the Plaistow Community YMCA in Plaistow, NH.

Last year at Nationals in Cincinnati, OH, nearly 2,000 gymnasts competed representing over 75 YMCA teams from across the country.

Wilton Y gymnasts planning to participate in Nationals include:

Level 2: Blake Bartlett, Paige Fankhauser, Ava Valletta and Elyse Wohlberg

Level 3: Greysen Gismondi, Sophia Howell, Caitlyn O’Connor, Caroline Osiecki, Blake Reinking, Eliana Reiter and Ariya Shah

Level 4: Kaya Baumgold, Audrey Hyland and Madigan O’Shea

Level 5: Addison Grippando

Level 6: Emery Amero, Abigail Deane and Nora Walencikowski

Level 7: Kyra Doran, Alyssa Mariani, Allison Massaua and Teagan Stengrim
