…so many cute new baby animals!

Several adorable little additions recently joined Ambler Farm’s resident furry and feathered friends (goats, sheep, laying hens and Flemish Giant rabbits). All the new animals have been integrated into Ambler Farm’s Summer Program. Currently available to visit are the following “new” baby animals – 8 chicks (with more chicks arriving over the next two weeks), 7 ducks, 3 turkeys, and 2 geese!

Visitors are welcomed and encouraged to stop by the farm and visit the animals any day of the week, with the best time to visit the animals on Saturday mornings between 9–11 a.m., when Ambler Farm’s apprentices are available to introduce visitors to their menagerie.

The chicks have arrived from Monroe, CT, while the rest of the farm friends came from Iowa.

While a few will remain into the fall, the chicks, ducks, turkeys and geese will reside at Ambler Farm through the summer. At summer’s end, the chicks will find homes with Ambler Farm’s apprentice families, volunteer staff and other friends of Ambler Farm. The ducks, geese, and turkeys will reside at the Speckled Rooster in Westport, CT.

Of course, they’ll be cared for by the same dedicated group of volunteer animal caretakers and Ambler Farm apprentices, who tend to Ambler Farm’s animals year-round.

Ambler Farm is open to the public from dawn to dusk 365 days a year.
