New Resident “Privileged to Support” Kim Healy for District 42

To the Editor:

I feel privileged to share my support of Kim Healy for our State Representative. As a recent transplant from California, where politics has become unbearable with way too much control of what goes on at the local level from the State. In Connecticut, local communities seem to have more influence on important issues and Kim’s dedication to Wilton is inspiring.

Her personal background is inspiring; growing up in a family of police officers and healthcare workers, she understands the day-to-day challenges of fixed income living and dealing with our healthcare complexities. As a mother of four, with two in college, she lives with the financial impact of rising education costs.

Kim’s professional background as a CPA, along with her leadership in local non-profits and involvement with the CT Reading Leadership Council, shows her commitment to ensuring responsible use of local resources and having a positive impact on our schools. She has served on the Board of Selectmen since 2021. She came close to winning the state representative election in 2022, gaining great experience for navigating her 2024 run.

What’s refreshing to me is her motivation is not driven by any political party but by what is best for our citizens. Kim’s experience, integrity and enthusiasm makes her the perfect choice for state representative.

Sincerely,

Tom De Loia

Kim and Kami: Champions for CT Small Businesses

To the Editor:

Stroll along any of our quaint downtown streets — past the historic bookstore, the curated boutique, and the beckoning aroma of the donut shop — and you’ll see it. The empty storefront. A portrait of opportunity gone by, framed by its large cloudy window and littered with peeling paint. What happened? Where did it go? And why has nothing taken its place?

As a business owner, I know firsthand the countless challenges our local businesses endure. Skyrocketing utility rates, excessive taxes, and inefficient regulations place a burden not only on proprietors and their families, but on employees, customers, and our community. Businesses strangled by overhead costs struggle to pay staff a competitive wage and provide compelling service to customers. Businesses lost to restrictive pandemic policies are simply gone forever.

Still, I am optimistic. Small businesses are uniquely poised to flourish in an environment that champions innovation, responsible spending, and the exaltation of the American Dream. Kim Healy and Kami Evans have demonstrated a deep commitment to our small businesses and the communities they serve. They are staunch advocates for the fiscal conservatism and tax relief necessary to revitalize our economy.

Common sense policies and workable solutions will get us there. Kim and Kami will lead the way.

Please join me on Nov. 5 in voting for Kim Healy, Kami Evans, and the future of Connecticut’s small businesses.

Savet Constantine is the Best Choice to Represent Wilton at the State Level

To the Editor:

I am proud to support Savet Constantine for State Representative. As a first-time [state legislative] candidate, Savet brings fresh energy and perspective to this race. Her ability to listen, learn, and offer practical solutions demonstrates her commitment to making a real difference in our community.

Savet and her husband Craig have called Wilton home for over 20 years, with their children educated in our public schools. Her long-time involvement in the PTA as a member and leader, including several years as PTA president, demonstrates her tireless advocacy for our children’s education. Recognizing our excellent schools are a key attraction for families, Savet is committed to maintaining and enhancing high educational standards while ensuring parents have a voice in creating an environment where children can thrive academically and personally.

Savet understands that a thriving business community is crucial for our district’s economic vitality. She’ll foster a business-friendly environment by proposing simplifications to processes required to start and grow a business, helping both entrepreneurs and established concerns.

With her fresh ideas and commitment to working towards a better future for all of us, Savet Constantine make her the ideal choice to represent Wilton at the state level. I urge you to join me in voting for Savet Constantine for State Representative.

Kim Healy is the Best Qualified Candidate to Represent Wilton

To the Editor:

Kim Healy is the best qualified candidate to represent Wilton for the 42nd District seat. Kim is well-known to us as she is currently serving on Wilton’s Board of Selectmen since November 2021 and is well-acquainted with local issues here in Wilton. Kim would represent our interests well as our representative in Hartford.

Kim is a long-time resident of Wilton and actively involved in the local community, years of serving on the Wilton Library Board, including as treasurer, and for eight years a volunteer tax preparer for AARP.

From her background in public accounting at Price Waterhouse Coopers and as Wilton Library Treasurer, she has a keen sense of financial rectitude and accountability that is sorely needed in Connecticut if the state is to prosper again. Sadly, there are too few representatives in Hartford that feel or act the same way.

With Kim serving on Wilton’s highest board with distinction and having significant experience volunteering her time with various non-profit organizations, she certainly comes out ahead of her opponent on every category of importance.

Kim Healy is our best choice for the 42nd District seat representing Wilton.

Respectfully,

Jeffrey Rutishauser
