With schools closed on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4, there are some options for activities the kids can enjoy.
Third Annual Election Day Scavenger Hunt at Wilton Historical Society
11 a.m.-noon
The Wilton Historical Society has created a scavenger hunt. A great family activity, kids will search the Society’s historic 18th and 19th century buildings with clues in hand, peering into corners, lofts, nooks and crannies of historic houses and barns as the scavenger hunt proceeds. Prizes will be awarded. Delicious and historic Election Day Cake and cider will be served.
Open to everyone ages 8 and up. Cost is $5 per member family, $10 per non-member family. Register by email or call 203.762.7257.
Fleur de Lis Dance Academy Hosts ‘Dance Day’ Workshops
9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Wilton’s Fleur de Lis Dance Academy is hosting a special day of dance. Dancers can choose from full- or half-day workshops. Classes include “Hip Hop Ya Don’t Stop,” “Contemporary/Lyrical,” “Musical Theater Mania,” and “Modern Movement,” among others. The day ends with dance presentations. Students in grades 1-12 are welcome.
“We have an exciting day of professional, fun and exciting classes for your dancer. The instructors are top teachers and professionals in NYC to ensure that each dancer will learn tips, tricks and technique from the best,” said Fleur de Lis owner Michele Sperry.

Wilton Y’s Kidz Zone
all day
Kidz Zone is a supervised and fun-filled program at the Wilton Family YMCA for days when the Wilton Public Schools are closed. Kidz Zone is available to both members and non-members. Children will enjoy all the Y has to offer including swimming, gym time, playground, and special theme-based activities.
Registration Options:
Full Day: 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. (K – 11 years only)
Half Day: Morning Half Day–8 a.m.-1 p.m.; Afternoon Half Day–1:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. (3 1/2 – 11 years old)
*Lunch Option: For an additional $5.00 per child, we will provide the lunch (two slices of pizza, a fresh fruit or veggies and water).

Please Note:
- Parents must provide a valid medical record for each child attending this program.
- Every full day participant must provide a lunch with an ice pack. The Y can provide a lunch for children for an additional $5 fee, please see the registration form for more details.
- Please refrain from bringing any peanut/treenut products.
- All Kidz Zone participants must be potty trained.
- If your child requires a paraprofessional there will be an additional $5 charge per day.
Camp Half-Blood Fun-raiser, Wilton Library
9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Join other half-bloods at the Wilton Library for a camp like no other! Based on the acclaimed children’s series Percy Jackson and the Olympians written by Rick Riordan, this day camp will include all the training a growing half-blood needs to survive ancient Greek monsters in our modern world. You’ll be claimed by a Greek god, solve a prophecy foretold by the Oracle of Delphi, make your way through the Labyrinth, and much more! Book drawing part of the fun; lunch included. Pinocchio Pizza of Wilton will be donating the pizzas. This program is a fundraiser for the Children’s Library. Registration in person. Payment must be made at time of registration. $55.00 per child. For children in grades 3 through 6.
