Approximately 75 people turned out for Wednesday’s “Fashion Forward” event that merged fashion with philanthropy. Fall and summer-to-fall transition styles were shown to attendees, thanks to event sponsors Blue Star Bazaar, owned by Megan Abrahamsen and Stella & Dot stylist Melly Bonita, and Whip Salon, owned by Amy Pal, which styled the models that walked the runway. GOOD Morning Wilton was media sponsor for the evening.

The event was organized by Wilton resident Randi McDonnell to support her brother who was paralyzed after an accident where he suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury.

“It’s so overwhelming how a community can come together and support somebody. It’s so heartwarming to me. We have such an incredible community, I fell very lucky and blessed to live in Wilton,” McDonnell said.

In addition to multiple local businesses donating refreshments, raffle items, shoes for the models, and more, several Wilton women and girls volunteered as models for the fashion show.
