GOOD Feedback Opportunity: Wilton Historical Society Launches 2026 Audience Survey
The Wilton Historical Society is asking for the community’s help to better serve Wilton through its 2026 Audience Survey to better understanding its constituents’ current relationship with the museum and how to improve in the future.
The brief online survey is confidential and open to all members of the public — longtime museum members and those who have never heard of the Historical Society before. WHS officials say answers to the survey questions will directly impact the organization over the next several years, including why people visit, what programs or exhibitions they’d like to see, why the Historical Society is important to community members, and more.
“The survey only takes a few minutes, but will have a huge impact on the organization and the community,” Wilton Historical Society Director Nick Foster said. “We want to make sure we are making decisions that reflect the desires and needs of our audience, and the best way to do that effectively is to hear from everyone directly. We want them to help us help them.”
GOOD Art Exhibit: See “Transformations” Exhibition at Wilton’s browngrotta arts

Transformations: Dialogues in Art and Material (May 9–17, 2026), the Spring “Art in the Barn” exhibition at browngrotta arts will take a focused look at materiality, examining how matter is shaped, reconfigured and reimagined through skilled and thoughtful engagement. The exhibition will feature works by some three dozen international artists exploring a wide range of materials, ranging from clay, silk and linen, to cotton, steel, bark, stones, seaweed, bamboo and horsehair — highlighting both the diversity of material choices and the distinct outcomes achieved even when artists work within the same medium.
The works on view in Transformations will underscore diversity of process and approaches. The artists demonstrate what curator and historian Glenn Adamson terms “material intelligence,” a deep understanding of a material’s properties, histories, and expressive possibilities.

GOOD Food Drive: Wilton Mail Carriers Lead “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive Saturday

Wilton residents have an easy way to support neighbors in need this weekend as local letter carriers take part in the annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive on Saturday, May 9. The nationwide effort — the largest single-day food drive in the country — invites residents to leave a bag of non-perishable food by their mailbox for pickup.
Wilton mail carriers will collect donations along their routes and deliver them to organizations like Person to Person and the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, where the food will be sorted and distributed to families facing food insecurity. The drive comes at a critical time, as food donations typically drop off after the holidays while demand remains high into the spring and summer.
To participate, fill any bag with non-expired, non-perishable items such as canned proteins, pasta, cereal or peanut butter (no glass jars), and place it by your mailbox Saturday morning. A virtual option is also available for those who prefer to donate online, helping provide fresh items like dairy and produce.
GOOD Clean-Up: Almost One Ton of Litter Picked Up at Wilton’s Town-Wide Clean-Up Day
The Wilton Conservation Commission held another successful Townwide Clean Up Day on Saturday, Apr. 25. Approximately 70 volunteers showed up to collect 1,780 pounds of litter along Wilton’s roads, parks and banks of the Norwalk River.
Volunteers met at the Town Green on Saturday morning where the Conservation Commission handed out garbage bags, garbage grabbers and work gloves. Volunteers went to their assigned locations, or one of their choosing, to pick up litter around Wilton. The effort always makes the town a more beautiful place.
The commission’s long-term partner, Pinocchio Pizza, provided everyone who came out with a free slice of pizza.
The Conservation Commission extended thanks to all of the dedicated volunteers whose work made this year’s Townwide Clean Up Day such a success. Their efforts made a big impact, as can be seen everywhere around town. This year’s success was made possible with help from Wilton Kiwanis, Wilton High School, Hope Church and many dedicated families and neighbors.
