GOOD News from Town Hall: Progress on Pride Festival

First Selectman Toni Boucher has confirmed that the request from Wilton Pride to close a portion of Old Ridgefield Rd. to vehicles for its May 31 festival has been approved by the town.
Not only that, Boucher made a generous offer of support to the nonprofit group.
“Two policemen will need to be hired to facilitate the road closure for the festival. If the organization does not have the funds for the hiring of the police for the event, given that this is the first time road closure has been requested, please let me know so I can personally donate to Wilton Pride to meet this requirement,” she wrote in an email to festival organizers.
