Both Democratic and Republican Town Committees have created opportunities for residents to meet their candidates at events they’ve scheduled this week.

First up, the RTC has scheduled a simultaneous “Meet the [Wilton] Candidates” event and GOP Presidential candidate debate viewing party on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at Trackside Teen Center (Station Rd.), starting at 7 p.m.. This informal event will allow attendees to talk to the RTC slate of municipal candidates as well as watch the second debate between the GOP presidential candidates.

UPDATE, SEPT. 16–The DTC annual fall BBQ, previously scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, has been postponed.

Additionally, RTC first selectman candidate Lynne Vanderslice has scheduled an opportunity for seniors living in Wilton to meet her on Monday, Sept. 21, 2-3:30 p.m., at a discussion in the Brubeck Room at Wilton Library. It’s described as a chance to discuss issues which concern Wilton seniors. Light refreshments will be served. Individuals interested in attending can RSVP directly to Lynne by email.
