The Kiwanis Club of Wilton is holding their 16th Annual Classic and Custom Car Show this Friday, July 8 (6-9 p.m.) and the public is invited to see the many souped up and restored classic cars from all over the region. The show takes place in the parking lot of the Piersall Building at 44 Old Ridgefield Rd. in Wilton Center.

The show is held in memory of Tom “Geeb” Fleming, a Wilton resident who founded the show. Fleming was killed by a drunk driver in 2009, and the Kiwanis Club carries on the tradition, including a Memorial Cruise, in his memory. Wilton veterinarian Kevin Craw was Fleming’s close friend and he has taken over organizing the event.

Prizes and dash plaques will be awarded and various trucks and military vehicles will also be on display. Fans of all ages are welcome to view the cars and talk with the owners.

Members of the Kiwanis Club will be manning the grill for hot dogs and hamburgers, and cold beverages will also be available.
