Wilton Public School‘s superintendent Dr. Kevin Smith will present his proposed budget for FY ’15-’16 on Thursday, Jan. 22, in the Middlebrook Auditorium. The public hearing begins at 7 p.m..

Up for discussion is the recommended budget of $79,956,024–a 1.98-percent increase over the current $78.4 million budget. It is also the first budget compiled under the Superintendent Smith, who joined the Wilton district as of July 1, 2014.

Of note, before the public hearing starts, there will also be a special meeting of the Board of Education in the auditorium, beginning at 6:30 p.m.. During that time there will be a discussion regarding bid documents to be submitted to the CT Office of School Facilities for their Plan Completion Test of the ‘Temporary Classroom Phase’ of the Miller Driscoll Addition & Renovation Project.

Karen Birck, vice chair of the Miller Driscoll Building Committee, will present to the board during this part of the meeting.
