GOOD Morning Wilton took part in “Career Awareness Day” at Middlebrook School, as one of more than 60 professionals talking to students about jobs and careers. The students who attended each of the sessions with GMW.com wrote news briefs as a group about their take on the experience. This brief was written by the kids who came to GMW‘s second session.
On Wednesday afternoon, March 18 a group of tired (but honest) sixth, seventh and eighth grade Middlebrook students explored different jobs by talking and listening to people experienced in their fields. Some of the presenters were family members of the students, and others were friends and community professionals who wanted to share information about their jobs.
“It’s enlightening to experience others’ experiences about their workplaces,” said Zoey Weiss, an eighth grader.
“Although I may not have gotten to hear everything I wanted to it was still pretty interesting to hear what people had to say about their jobs,” Charlie Aliaga-Kelly, and eighth grader said.
