The Wilton Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to the 8th Annual Wilton Street Fair and Sidewalk Sales. On Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Wilton Center will be transformed into an exciting, action packed, bargain filled, entertaining and delicious destination for residents and visitors.

The annual summer festival is supported by retailers, restaurants, businesses, artisans and local organizations who pull out all the stops to showcase Wilton’s community as a vibrant retail, service and dining destination. The Wilton Street Fair and Sidewalk Sale is presented by Kimco Realty and Blue Buffalo with Pet Pantry, and Wusthof. Also sponsoring are Fairfield County Bank, and Dynamic Edge Physiotherapy. Supporting sponsorships are provided by Gregory and Adams P.C., Arista Industries, Berkshire Hathaway and media sponsorship by 95.9 The Fox and Wilton Magazine/TownVibe.

In addition to the shopping and dining opportunities featured during the day, the Wilton Chamber of Commerce has also lined up entertainment, with music from media sponsor 95.9 The Fox and Star 99.9, and live music including the Community Steel Band. This year the chamber has arranged for several new features, including Farm on Wheels, Safari Bob’s rideable animals, yoga demos, and Woodcock Nature Center.

There are attractions and activities for the whole family centered around the Gazebo on the Town Green, Pet Pantry, and Wilton River Park/Stop & Shop center. Guests are invited to bring their dogs for activities, and the Chamber will also be presenting a demonstration from Wilton Police Department’s K9 team, Ofc. Eric Patenaude with his partner, Baso. Children’s activities also include face-painting, big bouncy-house and obstacle course, magician, balloon characters and bubbles from Mr. Bungles, kids crafts, Sand Art Party plus treats galore and much more.

There will also be a food truck areas, as the Chamber welcomes back the Melt Mobile, Chef Jeff’s BBQ, Angie’s Cocinita, Bubble and Brew, College Creamery and new this year, Boom Thai.

All Street Fair vendors and entertainment will be located along Old Ridgefield Rd. from the Village Market to River Rd.’s Wilton River Plaza, including the Town Green Gazebo. The event is rain or shine.

Wilton Library Book Sale

Wilton Library’s book sale volunteers are getting ready for the Sidewalk Sale Book Sale they’ll have set up as part of the Street Fair as well. Beach/vacation reads, children’s books, teen chapter books, DVDs, CDs and so much more will be available right on the street in front of the library.
