Letters are limited to 225 words and must be signed with a full name and verifiable address. GMW will publish up to 15 letters each week in the order in which they are received; any letters received after we hit that 15-letter limit will be held for subsequent weeks. We Deserve A Genuine Leader: We Deserve Ceci Maher As Our State Senator
To the Editor:
I’d write that Ceci Maher earned my vote two years ago, but I’d be lying. And no, this isn’t my audition for the Lincoln Project, the truth is I was too young to vote. But having freshly turned 18 in August, it gives me great optimism that Ceci’s name will be on the first ballot I ever have the privilege of casting.
From her work in non-profits to her work serving in the State Senate, Ceci’s supreme work ethic, character and deep drive to help others have been on constant display. It is these qualities which have defined Ceci, and have defined her first term as our state senator.
Over the past two years, Ceci has championed expanded school lunches and expanded mental health resources. She has fought against hate speech and gun violence. Ceci has fought for our families, our schools, and our district.
Now more than ever, the issues we face are serious, and they demand a serious state senator who is ready to get to work. We deserve a state senator who actually understands the issues, has a plan, and is ready to get to work. From climate, reproductive rights, and gun control, to affordability, mental health care, and education, there is nobody I’d rather have fighting for us than Ceci, which is why it’s with great enthusiasm that I support her.

We need Kim Healy as our State Representative for the 42nd District
To the Editor:
I’m excited to share my strong support for Kim Healy as our next state representative. Kim has proven her commitment to Wilton time and again, serving on the Wilton Board of Selectmen and receiving the highest number of votes for a contested seat in 2021.
Kim’s dedication to our community is clear. She’s an experienced CPA, and her extensive involvement in non-profit organizations shows her passion for making a positive impact. Kim’s recent work on the CT Reading Leadership Implementation Council highlights her advocacy for educational reforms that will protect our children’s future and ensure resources are used wisely.
Kim understands the challenges facing families today. As the daughter of a retired police officer and nurse, she knows firsthand the difficulties of fixed incomes and navigating the healthcare system. She and her husband, an Irish immigrant, have raised four children, two of whom are in college, so she’s also familiar with the rising costs of education.
Kim’s integrity, experience, and passion for responsible government make her the best choice for our community. I will vote for Kim Healy and strongly encourage you to do the same this November!

Savet, the former head of the PTA at both Wilton High School and Middlebrook School, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving our education system.
