Under brilliant sunshine, 287 members of the Wilton High School Class of 2026 celebrated graduation on Saturday, June 13, at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in front of family, friends and school officials.
This year, school officials announced five valedictorians, students who achieved a 4.0 GPA throughout their four years at WHS. Lilah Gettler, Emma Roos, Meredith Sullivan, Abbie Fang and Diya Vijit Nair each delivered a speech to their classmates and guests who filled the stands.
This year’s faculty graduation speaker, traditionally chosen by the seniors, was English teacher Chris McCaffrey. Both he and Superintendent Kevin Smith offered their words of advice to the graduates.

This year’s graduation also marked the last for retiring WHS Principal Bob O’Donnell, who, in addition to delivering his own remarks, was presented with a special commemorative Wilton High School shirt, custom tie-dyed to match his status as an avid fan of the Grateful Dead — and printed to include a list of stops on the “Bob O’Donnell Farewell Tour.”

Correction: Wilton High School initially only provided speeches for three of the five valedictorians. GOOD Morning Wilton has tracked down the other two speeches so that we could rectify the omission, and they’ve been added to the site. We regret any disappointment this initially caused.
