BREAKING NEWS, March 11, 3:15 p.m.–The Wilton Library has announced Wednesday afternoon that it will be closing its building “until further notice.” Library officials released the following statement:
Wilton Library has been notified by the First Selectwoman’s office that Wilton Public Schools are closing effective immediately because one or more students has had direct contact with a potentially presumptive positive COVID-19 patient. As a result, the library has been advised by Wilton’s Health Director to close the building. Wilton Library’s executive director, Elaine Tai-Lauria, has said the building will be closed until further notice beginning at 2:45 p.m. today. Children will be allowed to remain in the building until parents or designated caregivers pick them up. Please visit the library’s website for further updates.
