Wilton Police are investigating two residential burglaries that occurred during the daytime on Sunday, June 16 and are asking for the public’s help.

The burglaries occurred during the hours between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The first incident happened at a residence on Horseshoe Rd.. Numerous items of value were taken from the residence, including electronics and jewelry. According to a police report, entry was gained by breaking a small window pane and entering through the window in the rear of the house.

A similar attempted burglary occurred at a residence on Huckleberry Hill Rd.. Two garage window panes were broken and entry was made through one of the windows leading into the garage. The suspect attempted to kick in the interior garage door that leads into the residence but was unsuccessful at making entry, according to police.

Police are are asking residents in those neighborhoods to check home surveillance systems for activity that may be helpful to the investigations. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wilton Police Department at 203.834.6260 or via email.
