Wilton Police are investigating a rash of vandalism incidents that occurred throughout town between July 4-8, 2019. Lt. Robert Kluk of the Wilton Police says that during that time, multiple separate incidents with damage of more than $2,000 were committed in multiple locations. They are seeking help from the public in tracking down the perpetrators.
Among the incidents:
- Wildwood Rd., two mailboxes damaged (overnight/early morning hours July 3 into July 4)
- Carriage Rd., one vehicle’s windows smashed (overnight/early morning hours July 3 into July 4)
- Linden Tree Rd., two mailboxes damaged (overnight/early morning hours July 3 into July 4)
- Linden Tree Rd. two cars’ windows smashed (overnight/early morning hours July 3 into July 4)
- Millstone Rd. one car’s window smashed (overnight/early morning hours of July 5 into July 6)
- Millstone Rd. driveway light was smashed (overnight/early morning hours of July 5 into July 6)
- Old Wagon Rd. two cars’ windows smashed (overnight/early morning hours of July 5 into July 6)
- Carriage Rd., mailbox smashed (overnight/early morning hours July 7 into July 8)
All Vehicles were parked on the side of the road at the time of the vandalism and rocks were used to smash the windows.
