A more unsettled week (November 21-27) of weather is in store for Wilton, but at least the weather for travel before the Thanksgiving holiday on Wednesday will be amenable.

Monday, Nov. 21:  If you like the cold, then you’re going to love Monday. For the rest of you, it will be a brutal day with feels-like temperatures only in the 20s because the air will be cold, but it will also be windier with gusts up to 45 mph. Therefore, isolated power outages can’t be ruled out. In terms of weather conditions, it will be mostly cloudy with the chance for a snow shower or two, which will not accumulate.

Tuesday, Nov. 22:  The weather will improve as we get into Tuesday where the sunshine will finally come back out! The low pressure that’s bringing the chance for snow on Monday will be exiting the Northeast by Tuesday, so clouds will still mix in at times while the winds remain strong and gusty.

Wednesday, Nov. 23:  Then, on the major Thanksgiving travel day of Wednesday, the weather could not be any better, featuring mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the mid 40s. That is on the chilly side, but at least the winds will be much calmer. If you’re staying home, the weather will be great for raking the lingering leaves on the ground.

Thursday, Nov. 24:  On Thanksgiving Day itself, the weather will not be as nice with a few light rain and potentially snow showers during the day, especially in the morning. I think temperatures will be too mild for accumulating snow at the very least.

Friday, Nov. 25:  Closing off the week on Friday, it’s looking cloudy with the slight chance for a rain shower as the weather continues to remain on the unsettled side. We’re starting to get into a more active weather pattern, which may be some good news for the extreme drought level to which Wilton was upgraded.

Saturday, Nov. 26:  Our next system, which may be a coastal low, will move along the coast of southern New England, bringing in possible rain showers and raw conditions Saturday. There is still some uncertainty to this forecast, so stay tuned!

Sunday, Nov. 27:  Sunday is looking like the better half of the weekend with mostly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures in the upper 40s.
