Several women-owned Wilton businesses have united to host a collective trunk show on Thursday, Oct. 10. In addition, three service providers, Peggy Garbus Photography, Ellen Essman CPA and The Cake Boutique will be on hand to meet prospective new customers and answer questions.

“The trunk show highlights the resources and talents of these women-owned businesses, not only giving customers a chance to see all of our products at once but it also allows each of us hopefully to meet some new customers by leveraging our different customer networks during a combined event,” explained Megan LaBant Abrahamsen, who owns Blue Star Bazaar, a gift and accessories company. Abrahamsen has a storefront at SoNo Marketplace as well as an e-commerce website.

She added that the event is planned for this time of year because gift-giving season is right around the corner, and many people like to update fall wardrobes and make seasonal decorating changes now. At the trunk show, there will be apparel for women and children, accessories including jewelry and handbags, festive holiday decorating ideas and cake samples.  In addition, Garbus and Essman will be on-hand to answer your questions.

Laurie Davis, who is known as the “Glitter Lady,” said, “I am excited to be part of this fun show to kick off the holiday season!  I always love working with other successful women entrepreneurs, and this trunk show won’t disappoint.  Everyone will bring their latest offerings and I, of course, will bring the glittergoods…glittered ornaments and whimsies of all sorts!”
