GMW Candidate Profiles include candidate-submitted bios, op-eds/candidate statements, and in some cases video interviews. We focused primarily on the four main races — Board of Selectmen, Board of EducationBoard of Finance and Planning and Zoning Commission. We also invited candidates in the other races to submit materials including op-eds if they chose to.

We asked the 18 candidates running in those four main races to sit for on-camera video interviews, which were conducted over Zoom and recorded. Candidates were interviewed by GOOD Morning Wilton Editor Heather Borden Herve and contributing reporter Jarret Liotta. Candidates in the same races were asked similar questions but some were asked individual questions pertinent to their own campaign or situation. Although we sent multiple communications to all candidates, two candidates did not participate in interviews.

The interviews are available to watch in full. With over 16 hours of video interviews to edit, we’re working on offering individual questions in separate clips for each candidate so voters can compare — keep checking back from now through Election Day to do that.

Video interviews were edited for clarity and brevity, but meaning was not altered.

Click on the Board/Commission name for more information on that race; click on the individual candidates to be taken to their profile pages.
